Carolina Blue Skies and Green Jobs Initiative

The Carolina Blue Skies & Green Jobs Initiative is a two-state effort to increase availability and use of alternative fuels, while simultaneously deploying alternative fuel vehicles and advanced technology vehicles in North and South Carolina. The project successfully deployed a total of 519 vehicles including 389 propane vehicles, 81 compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, 40 hybrid-electric vehicles, and nine neighborhood electric vehicles. The project also added 141 refueling stations, including 111 electric vehicle charging points, 11 E85 stations, eight biodiesel stations, six CNG stations and five propane stations.
